Estonian Special Operations Forces has a strategic role in Estonia’s independent defense system – its main task is to develop unconventional warfare capabilities. In addition, the unit’s tasks include Military Assistance, Special Recconaisance and Direct Action. Estonian Special Operations Forces reports directly to the Commander of the Estonian Defense Forces.
